I have been trying to inculcate some chivalry in Ryan. So I have been preparing on how to buy a gift for someone you love.
1) Think about the gift you want to give.
2) How much resources do you have?
3) Where to get it?
4) How to get it?
These are important...you have to plan, especially if this is the first attempt at buying a gift. So Ryan had been thinking and thinking. Then for my birthday, this is what I receive...
MONEY...$3.80 to be exact.
I asked him, how do you decide on the amount? He said,
I just throw in everything I have got. It is the thought that counts!
Thanks, Ryan.
Boys, like men, just don't get it, do they?

I keep thinking he would lose the angpao i gave him. Did he put it in the laundry. I would like to ask him what did he buy with it or saving for his birthday?
I kept it for him. He has already decided what to buy and he will be topping up $9 from his own savings to buy that...haven't bought yet. I am holding it till his birthday...
Teaching chivalry - now that's a concept. At some point, you have to hope that it'll be more "automatic", yes?
Haha, yes, part of character education. My first project has failed, but no worries, by the end of the course, he will be a knight in shining armour!
